In BTX 1 (Unit 2) we've been discussing "feral children".

Related to this subject is the film Nell, where Jodie Foster stars a woman

who is brought to civilisation after having spent 30 years of her life in the wilds.

Watch the trailer and read the synopsis here.

Then leave a comment below giving your opinion on the film.

In BTX 2 (Unit 10) we've been discussing savants.

Watch the trailer for Rainman here,

where Dustin Hoffman plays the part of an autistic savant.

Here's the toothpick scene, which we watched in class.

See how easy you find it to understand the clips!

It seems a nice film, with a special message. But It's not exactly what we've read in class. All in all, i'm talking without haven't watched it.

Really? Do you remember the name of the book, Eulàlia? It'd be interesting to take a look...
Xènia, I'm quite sure you'd like the film. Plus Jodie Foster is a great actress and she does a great job in Nell. Why don't you rent the DVD and tell us what you thought?

Maybe you should change your computer settings... Or try using a different Internet browser. Do you have Modzilla Firefox? For some reason, it seems to work better than Internet Explorer...
