History:
Horseball is a game played on a horseback where a ball in handled and points are scored by shooting it through a hoop. The sport is like a combination of polo, rugby, and bascketball.
Origins:
The sport's predecessor, pato, originated in Argentina in the early 1700s.
In Catalonia Horseball dates back to 1997 when two pioneers of this equestrian discipline, Jordi Serra and Jordi Traveria, were established first contacts to the Salon du Cheval the Tolosa de Llengu.
In 1999, the two pioneers, Serra and Traveria, participated as members of Spanish team in the European Championship held in Wells, Australia.
Rules:
The basic rules involve a team of 4 players.
Making a minimum of 3 different players of their team and then scoring a goal through a vertical hoop goal.
Equipament:
The most important equipment are knee(genolleras), helmet(casc), horse-riding trousers(pantalons de montar), riding boots(botas de montar)
